Toolleen Country Retreat

(aka: "the kennel")

I have paid ....................... to cover these costs, and agree to pay the additional costs of .......... per day if I need to extend the stay.

During this period your dog will be provided with the same level of care we provide our own dogs.

All dogs are fed a raw diet, unless otherwise agreed. This diet will include meaty bones, and offal.

I agree/don't agree to let my dog play with other similarly matched dogs during supervised play sessions.

I agree/don't agree to let my dog swim in the dam if it so desires (under our supervision). My dog can/cannot swim well.

I agree/don't agree to authorise you to take any necessary medical attention during the dog's stay, which if required, will be attending the kennel's vet in Bendigo (McIvor Veterinary Clinic) at my expense, plus transport fee of $30 per visit. (In the event of this happening we will attempt to contact you asap to let you know what is going on. At this stage, you will be required to give the vet clinic your credit card details directly.)

I accept that you will take good care of my dog, but accept that sometimes accidents happen and I will not hold anyone liable for such accidents.

My dog is/is not a fence jumper. (This means if it is not - it has never gone over a fence.)

My dog is/is not currently on any medication.

My dog has/has not bitten people.

My dog has good/not so good recall. (ie: it will come when its name is called)

My dog has good/not so good behaviour when on leash.

My dog is current with all vaccination requirements to C5 the most recent of which was at least 2 weeks before attending boarding. (Check with your vet as to current vaccination requirements.)

My dog has/has not been wormed recently. (If it hasn't, I agree to pay a $10/10kg fee for worming upfront.)

My dog has/has not been treated for fleas recently. (If it hasn't, I agree to pay a $25-$35 fee for the appropriate dosage of frontline/advantage or similar treatment upfront.)

My dog is/ is not microchipped.

Boring but important stuff we have to have (but hope never to have to enact on):

It is expressly agreed by Owner and Kennel that Kennel's liability shall in no event exceed the lesser of the current chattel value of a pet of the same species or the sum of $200.00 per animal boarded. The Owner further agrees to be solely responsible for any and all acts or behavior of said pet while it is in the care of the Kennel.

The Kennel shall have, and is hereby granted, a lien on the pet for any and all unpaid charges resulting from boarding pet at the kennel. The Owner hereby agrees that in the event the boarding charges are not paid when due in accordance with this contract, the Kennel may exercise its lien rights upon ten days written notice given by Kennel to Owner by email to address shown on contract. Kennel may dispose of pet for any and all unpaid charges, at private or public sale, in the sole discretion of the Kennel, and Owner specifically waives all statutory or legal rights to the contrary. If such sale shall not secure a price adequate to pay such costs of board or other charges delinquent, plus costs of sale, then Owner shall be liable to Kennel for the difference. All monies realized by Kennel at such sale, over and above the charges due and costs of sale, shall be paid by Kennel to Owner.

This Contract contains the entire agreement between the parties. All terms and conditions of this Contract shall be binding on the heirs, administrators, personal representatives and assigns of the Owner and the Kennel. This Contract shall be in force for this and all future boardings at Toolleen Country Retreat. The owner understands that despite vaccination, these vaccinations do not stop all diseases, but lessen the risk of getting some. As the kennels are run with strict cleaning and disinfecting routines, the risk of getting any disease is very small. However, the owner agrees not to hold the kennel/owners responsible for any disease that may occur as a result of staying at the kennel.

The owner specifically represents that he/she is the sole owner of the animal free and clear of liens and encumbrances.

Need to extend your stay?

Just give us a call, with as much notice as possible and we will endeavour to help you out. During peak periods this may be more difficult (perhaps impossible), but the more notice you give us the better. The standard boarding fees will apply, and you will need to pay these on pick up. No cash, no pick up, no exceptions. (We do not accept cheque or credit card). Remember to schedule in your pick up time.

Daily Rate:

Check with us as to any current specials. All boarding fees are payable on drop off of your pet - no exceptions. (We do not accept cheque or credit card. Paypal is an option, but an additional 10% fee applies.) Boarding fee's are calculated on a day of arrival, day of departure basis. On departure day if you collect your pet before 12 noon you will not be charged for that day.

Pick up!

Pick up time: Pick ups must be within normal business operating hours. ( Normally this means between 9-11am and 3-5pm, but check with us first.) Outside of these hours a fee of between $20-$50 applies depending on the time. This is non negotiable. All pick up and drop off's are by appointment only.

If you miss your scheduled time, you will need to re-schedule as to avoid clashing with someone else's time. You can book your pick up time at any stage, but remember - the later you leave it to book, you may have less flexibility as time slots are filled. In this way we can provide an un-rushed professional service and ensure an appropriate handover of your dog to you.

Kennel Synopsis:

Toolleen Country Retreat is set in a beautiful country location at a site specifically selected by the owners for a premium dog facility. This is a site where dogs come first. On 68 acres, our main facility is a very large compound secure within 6 foot high colourbond fencing. Our kennel block is well insulated and well ventilated to provide maximum comfort for the dogs. We have very large outside yards. Our smallest yards are bigger than most other kennels largest yards. We value health and well being, and have established a menu based on raw diet principals. We have top suppliers of our food and work closely with them to ensure the best range and standards are achieved. We invite inspection and are proud of our facility. We offer great value for money facility anywhere in Australia, and offer additional services (check current rates) for grooming and training.
